The Aspen Ice Learn to Skate Summer Camp is for beginner skaters, skaters level Snow Plow Sam 1 through Basic 2, or recreation skaters! Skaters will be split into groups, based age and level. Day will consist of two on-ice instructional sessions, tons of fun and games, arts and crafts, and much more!
Six weeks throughout July & August
Full Day Camp: 8:30am to 4:30pm
1/2 Day Camp: 8:30 to 11:30am
OR 1:30 to 4:30pm
The Learn to Skate Summer Camp is one of the best ways for a beginner skater to learn the basic skating skills to succeed in recreational skating, hockey, and figure skating. All beginner skaters will learn how to fall down, stand up, skate forward, glide, skate backward, stop, and much more! Skaters that participate in our learn to skate program that are between the levels of Snow Plow Sam 1 and Basic 2, will progress through the elements in their level. If skaters succeed in finishing all of the elements in their level, we will move them into a higher level in Learn to Skate. Depending on their level, we may even be able to move them into the Figure Skating Summer Camp or the Learn to Play Summer Camp! Off the ice, children can look forward to spending time outside, playing games, making arts and crafts, and much more! A detail schedule of the week will be given out at the beginning of each week.
