The Aspen Ice Figure Skating Summer Camp is for skaters who have completed Basic 3 or higher. Skaters will be split into groups, based on their level. Day will consist of two on-ice instructional sessions, two off-ice instructional sessions, and at least one hour of practice ice time. Skaters will have breaks between sessions for snack and lunch.
Six weeks throughout July & August
Full Day Camp: 8:30am to 4:30pm
1/2 Day Camp: 8:30 to 11:30am
OR 1:30 to 4:30pm
The Figure Skating Summer Camp is one of the best ways for a skater to learn and practice new skills in a fun and exciting environment. Skaters will be challenged both on the ice and off the ice, in order to improve their overall skating ability. All skaters will learn how to increase speed and power while working on skills from previous levels. Each group will then split up to work on turns, jumps, spins, edges, dance, and moves in the field. Off the ice, skaters will work on strength, flexibility, balance and endurance. Skaters can look forward to working on new elements with new instructors each session! Each day we will have different on ice and off ice instructors come in and work on the different aspects of skating. At the end of the summer, skaters who participated in camp will be invited back to perform in our Summer Showcase!
